First Look at Delft and Our Group Dinner

Well, it wasn't really our first look. Sam and I visited in 2000 when we took the train from Haarlem (outside of Amsterdam) to tour the famous porcelain factory here. After checking into the hotel this afternoon and getting organized in our room, we met the group at 6:30 PM to follow Hilbren to the restaurant.

When first walking through a new town or city--and blindly following along behind the guide--I often wonder if we'll be able to find our way back to the hotel. So I take a lot of photos as we go--never paying much attention to them during the rest of our stay in that town.

We were all hungry, as you can see, and crowded each other as we entered the restaurant. Service was very good and the food, as usual, displayed so elegantly and extremely tasty.

We were able to find our way home and now that it was dark, we were rewarded by some beautiful sites, including the lit lamp in the courtyard opposite our hotel.
